Eric Abidal Wants to End Career With Barcelona
Eric Abidal‘s contract with Barcelona will end in another year and until now he has not signed a contract extension offered.
But, Los Blaugrana does not need to worry because the left-back’s agent, David Venditelli, said his client will agreed two-year extension offer because he wants to end his career at the Camp Nou.
“His desire is to stay with Barcelona and end his career as a Barca player,” said the agent to TV3.
Venditelli added that the main reason for delaying the signing of a new contract is that he was still awaiting for a total recovery of the postoperative tumor removal a few months ago.
Abidal, 31, was diagnosed with liver tumors in March. Luckily, the operation was a success and he could return to play before the 2010/11 season completed.
The French player was even asked by Carles Puyol and Xavi Hernandez, Barca captain and vice captain, to lift the Champions League trophy at Wembley.
