Werder Bremen‘s exit door seems to get closer to Tim Wiese.

The reason is that Werder said that they are not able to give a contract extension with an increased value to the goalkeeper. Werder actually wants to keep Wiese who is entering the last years of his contract, but had to release him because of their financial conditions.

“We have said to Tim, that due to financial problems we can not give him a new contract this time,” said general manager Klaus Allofs, according to Eurosport.

However, Wiese denied that he will leave Werder even though he is wanted by VfL Wolfsburg.

“Nothing in the agenda. I am still under contract until 2012 with Werder. I want to fulfill it, and I even want to extend it,” he concluded.
