Palermo Star Javier Pastore to Join Paris Saint-Germain

Javier Pastore PSGPalermo director of sport Guglielmo Micciche has revealed that Javier Pastore is on the cusp of being sold, with Paris Saint-Germain the clear favourites to secure the services of the Argentina international.

Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini claimed there would be a meeting with Chelsea on Thursday, but several reports since then claimed a deal with PSG is being finalised.

Micciche did not confirm that the playmaker is heading for the French capital, but he hinted that they are the club in question by saying the Ligue 1 side have been doing well on the transfer market.

“Pastore’s transfer is imminent. It’s a matter of minutes,” Micciche told Radio Kiss Kiss.

“We want to close the deal, but it must be both sides who sign the contract.

“There are no doubts PSG are interested in Pastore. People from the club’s ownership have intervened and they want to take a top player to Paris.”

Il Corriere dello Sport
claims Pastore has agreed to sign a contract with the French side worth around €4.5 million per annum. The transfer fee is said to be around €42m.
