Cassano Rejects Marseille-Wolfsburg

Antonio Cassano MilanAC Milan forward, Antonio Cassano, rejected the offer to join Olympique Marseille (France) and VfL Wolfsburg (Germany). Reported Italian newspaper, La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Cassano is having a difficult time in Milan. Since being purchased from Sampdoria in January, he had difficulty getting into the first team. He was unable to compete with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Alexandre Pato and Robinho.

Cassano to play regularly to ensure his place with the Italian national team at the Euro 2012. Some Italian clubs want to take advantage of the situation. Genoa and Fiorentina are interested in buying the 29-year player.

However, the two clubs finds difficulty in getting him because of Cassano’s high salary. Now, an offer from Marseille and Wolfsburg are also coming. However, Cassano is not interested in moving outside of Italy.

Cassano is still under contract with Milan until 2014. According Transfermarkt, Cassano’s current price is 13 million euros.
