Tomas Rosicky Hopes Fabregas And Nasri Stays with Arsenal
Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky has called on the club’s stars to remain at the Emirates stadium and to drive the club towards their first trophy in seven years.
Speculation has surrounded the futures of fellow midfielders Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri, with both reportedly seeking a move away from the club, but Rosicky remains confident that this will not be the case.
Captain Fabregas has had a constant link with long-term admirers Barcelona whilst Nasri has been linked with big money moves to both Manchester United and Manchester City.
Rosicky, who has seen his playing time limited by the form of these stars, would seemingly benefit on a personal level by the departure of these players, but he is adamant that the team’s success is a priority.
When asked if the believed the exits of these players would benefit him, he told Pravo: “I’m not thinking like that.
“Arsenal are a giant club with big ambitions and to turn those ambitions into achievements you need to keep the best players you have and to have the strongest squad possible.
“I don’t want Fabregas or anyone else to leave. Even if that was to happen, Mr Wenger would go and get someone new.”
Rosicky joined Arsenal from Borussia Dortmund in 2006 and despite joining with a strong reputation across Europe following a successful European Championship campaign, his spell in north London has been troubled largely by injuries.
