A number of quality European teams are interested in Lazio‘s Mauro Zarate, but his agent Beppe Bozzo believes his client’s €20 million price tag will scare off any suitors.

Reports on Thursday claimed Russian powerhouse Spartak Moscow were considering a move for the Argentine as they would like to add creativity to their squad following a poor start to the season.

Bozzo did not name the interested clubs but maintained an exit is far from certain because of the price.

“Many teams are interested in Zarate, but none of them have made the offer needed for a sale,” Bozzo told Itasportpress.it.

“Lazio do not want to sell him for anything under €20m, but no club has offered this amount.”

Zarate has a contract until 2014 with Lazio but the club’s sporting director Igli Tare recently admitted that the future of the 24-year-old is up in the air.

The forward moved to Rome from Al Sadd in 2008.?
