Inter Milan Forward Diego Milito Refuse to Join Paris Saint-Germain
Inter Milan striker Diego Milito has turned down the opportunity to join Paris Saint-Germain, according to Le Parisien.
The Argentina international has been linked with a move to the French capital club after struggling for form at San Siro last season.
Paris Saint-Germain are understood to be in the market for a new striker as the last addition to a squad which has been bolstered by over €80 million in summer reinforcements.
The French club’s sporting director Leonardo coached Milito at Inter last season, and it has been suggested that he wanted to take the Argentine with him to the Parc des Princes.
However, fresh reports claim the 32-year-old has passed up the opportunity as he hopes to prove himself at Inter, with Samuel Eto’o on the verge of leaving for Anzhi Makhachkala.
The decision will force PSG to look elsewhere for an attacking reinforcement, with the club having already been rebuffed in their chases of Atletico Madrid’s Diego Forlan and Espanyol’s Pablo Osvaldo, according to French sources.
