Sporting Gijon vs Barcelona: Messi Stage

Barcelona will again play an away match. After facing BATE Borisov in the Champions League arena, the Blaugrana will play Sporting Gijon.

Barcelona’s chance to get full points is wide open. However, facts prove, Barcelona always finds difficulty when they play Gijon at the Stadium El Molinon.

Even so, Guardiola has a powerful weapon that can ‘destroy’ the defense of Gijon. The name of the weapon is Lionel Messi.

There is one thing that makes Messi expected to show more enthusiasm against Gijon. Yes, the Argentine certainly wants to pass the goal record of Barcelona legend, Kubala. Currently both Messi and Kubala have recorded 194 goals for Barca.

Thats way, a goal for Messi would make him the second top scorer for Barcelona under Cesar with his 235 goal record.

Line-up Prediction:
Gijon (4-3-3): Juan Pablo; Lora, Botia, Hernandez, Canella; Castro, Rivera, de las Cuevas; Trejo, Sangoy, Barral
Barcelona (4-3-3): Valdes; Dani Alves, Mascherano, Pique, Abidal; Busquets, Xavi, Thiago; Pedro, Villa, Messi
