The positive trend of AS Roma will be disrupted. The health condition of their captain, Francesco Totti is now a problem. In fact, he is doubtful to play when I Lupi face their city rivals Lazio in the Derby della Capitale, Sunday (16/10).

During Roma’s 3-1 win against Atalanta, Totti suffered a muscle injury that reportedly is quite serious. He failed to end the game and had to be pulled out in the 69th minute and was replaced by David Pizarro.

On Sunday (2 / 10), Totti underwent examination at the hospital, and the Roman camps confirmed the damage to his thigh muscle. It is not yet known how long Totti will be sidelined. But with this injury, he is doubtful to play against Lazio.

The news is certainly not good  for coach Luis Enrique. Especially in recent matches Totti had been quite vital with his passing though he failed to score a goal. Nevertheless, Enrique already has another alternative if Totti still can not play.

Besides having Pablo Osvaldo and Bojan Krkic, Roma still have Fabio Borini and Marco Borriello in their front line.  Miralem Pjanic could also act as an attacking midfielder, Totti’s current position.
