Villas-Boas Satisfied With Chelsea’s Big Win

The big 5-1 victory over Bolton Wanderers made Chelsea very pleased. not to mention the manager, Andre Villas-Boas. In particular, the Portuguese manager praised the efficacy of the front-line of the Blues in finishing their chances.

After knocking Swansea City last week with a score of 4-1, this time Bolton who were the victims of the sharp front line of the Blues. In fact, in this game Chelsea was not strengthened by their main striker, Fernando Torres.

“You could stand here all day, and talk about our great achievement. In the end we showed an amazing game with perfect finishing,” says Villas-Boas.

Frank Lampard became the star of this match by scoring a hat-trick. While Daniel Sturridge who often is a backup striker also contributed two goals. Regarding the performance of the two players, Villas-Boas declined to comment, he chose to praise the team’s performance overall.

“Every player was extraordinary, we struggled since the practice session, and we were sure to achieve these results. This is what we try to achieve in every game. We are worthy to get it, because we were able to create many chances in every game. This time, we were able to finish with ease,” he added.

Meanwhile, Bolton manager, Owen Coyle could not hide his disappointment on this defeat.

“I am very upset and disappointed,” Coyle regrets. “They played amazing and made us frustrated, especially as we failed to create chances. We must rise, and not let any individual error.”
