Jose Mourinho Wins the Miguel Munoz Trophy

Josep Guardiola may have brought Barcelona to win the Liga BBVA and Champions League last season. However, predicate of the best coach in Spain was received by Jose Mourinho.

The Real Madrid coach received the Miguel Munoz Trophy for the 2011-12 season. The award which was made ??by Marca, claims Mourinho collected 72 points and edged Guardiola who had 66 points.

The award certainly made Mourinho happy. “I am very proud of this award. The results of the work is the most important thing. I dedicate this award to the people who worked with us,” said Mourinho.

“We have won an important trophy (Copa del Rey) in the final against Barcelona. We became the league runner-ups with a lot of points, which is 90 points. We also had a great season in the Champions League,” he added.

These awards confirm the name of Mourinho as well as the first Madrid coach to win the Miguel Munoz Trophy. Since the award was held in the 2005-06 season, not a single coach of Real Madrid who managed to bring home this trophy.
