Jankulovski Canceled His Retirement And Signed for Banik Ostrava

Veteran defender Marek Jankulovski canceled his decision to retire and chose to continue a career in his country, the Czech Republic to play for Banik Ostrava after leaving AC Milan last summer.

The 34-year-old defender has just recovered from a knee injury. With Banik, Jankulovski will once again be wearing  the number eight jersey.

Jankulovski left Milan last summer after he was no longer part of coach Massimiliano Allegri’s plan because of high competition with some of the younger players like Taye Taiwo, Luca Antonini and Ignazio Abate.

News emerged that Jankulovski chose to retire. However, on Monday (10/10) Banik announced Jankulovski will return to play with them. This also put an end to Jankulovski’s overseas career for 11 years in Italy with Napoli, Udinese and Milan.
