Santi Cazorla Want Malaga to Beat Real Madrid
Malaga‘s versatile midfielder Santi Cazorla has spoken about the need for a positive performance against Real Madrid this weekend in the Primera Division.
Having succumbed to a 3-0 defeat to Levante last Sunday, Malaga will be hoping to get back on track having suffered only one loss in their first seven league fixtures.
And the Spain international believes that their illustrious opponents will provide just the motivation they needed to bounce back.
“Whenever you lose, you want to win the next game and the best thing is that it is a beautiful and important clash played at home,” Cazorla said, according to Marca.
“At La Rosaleda, we are a better side and we will go for a victory. It’s a special match against one of the best teams in the world. It will be a nice challenge to beat Real Madrid.”
Cazorla has also urged fans not to show their hostilities towards Jose Mourinho, who recently said that he would never coach the cashed-up Malaga side.
“I know that our fans have to defend their own interest, but violence has to be eradicated from football,” he said.
“People may not like the words of the coach, but it is a very important game and it will be a beautiful match. What we need to do is to enjoy it. We hope to win.”
Malaga will host Madrid at La Rosaleda on October 22 at 20:00 CET.
