Former Chelsea forward Gianfranco Zola has offered his picks for the Serie A title and believes AC Milan and Napoli are the main contenders.

Milan and Napoli have started slowly but Zola feels they will turn a corner and come good as the season progresses.

“I think it will be a duel between Napoli and Milan for the Scudetto,” Zola told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“It is a challenge involving a team investing for the future and those who are used to success.

“Milan have an excellent team.”

However, Zola has not rejected the idea of Roma and Lazio putting up a fight for league honours.

“We must not forget the Roman teams. Roma have an important project, while Lazio must not be ignored,” said the Italian.

Milan are in action against Parma at San Siro on Wednesday night, while Napoli entertain Udinese. – Salvatore Landolina/Goal
