Sneijder: Inter Milan Interested in PSV Midfielder Kevin Strootman
Wesley Sneijder has stated that Inter sporting director Marco Branca has asked him his opinion on PSV midfielder Kevin Strootman as they are closely monitoring the playmaker’s progress.
Strootman has developed into a key player at PSV since joining the club from Utrecht in the summer transfer window, while his contract with the Eredivisie giants runs until the summer of 2016, meaning the Italian side may have to spend big to secure their man.
The former Sparta midfielder is considered to be one of the best young midfielders in Europe and has already made eight international appearances for Netherlands.
“Marco Branca wanted to know how I feel about Kevin. It’s not the first time that the club have asked me my opinion. Quality is always more than welcome and Kevin has plenty of quality,” Sneijder was quoted as saying by De Telegraaf. – Stefan Coerts/Goal
