Amauri to Join Premier League Club?
Juventus outcast Amauri will move to England his agent has confirmed – with the striker set to choose between London rivals Tottenham, Fulham and QPR who are now in a battle to agree a deal with the Brazilian-born Italy international for when the transfer window reopens.
The 31-year old Italy international has been told by Juve that he can depart for free in January after falling out of favour following his big-money move from Palermo in 2008.
“Amauri is about to sign for an English club,” Ernesto Bronzetti told Radio Kiss Kiss. “The salary of the Brazilian striker is high and I don’t think he can go to Napoli, even if they are a big club, or at Genoa and Palermo who want him.
“He is not an ordinary player, he was paid 25million euros from Juve, he made his debut with the jersey of the Italian national team and last season he has done great things in Parma.”
Amauri joined Juventus in 2008 from Palermo, but scored just eight goals for Juventus during his time in Turin.
