Stoke to Offer Robert Huth and Glenn Whelan New Contracts
Stoke City are to offer Robert Huth and Glenn Whelan new long-term contracts, according to boss Tony Pulis.
The Potters will be keen to tie Huth down to fresh terms – despite the defender having two years to run on his current deal – as a host of Bundesliga clubs continue to track his progress at the Britannia Stadium.
In a bid to ward off possible suitors, Stoke – who are currently 12th in the Premier League – appear set to hand the 27-year-old an improved offer, while Republic of Ireland international Whelan is reportedly in talks over a four-year extension.
Pulis told the Sun: “We always look after the players who have done well for us and we want to keep Robert and Glenn here for a long time.
“Everybody has to feel a part of what we’re trying to achieve.”
