Zenit St Petersburg coach Luciano Spalletti said that they are interested in bringing back Arsenal striker Andrey Arshavin to Russia.

Spalletti’s statement is in response of the desire of Arshavin who is considering to leave the Emirates Stadium if he is still not played as a starting eleven.

“If a player with Arshavin’s quality wants to join us, surely we will soon bring him in,” said Spalletti to Championat.

“But keep in mind this intention can only be realized if he wants to play for us because we are still fine in the composition of the team.”

Meanwhile, talking about Cagliari player Radja Nainggolan who had been linked with Zenit, the Italian coach denies he has interest.

“This is merely speculation. We are thinking about football, not for profit in the transfer market,” he said.
