FIFA announced the 10 best goal nominees competing for the FIFA Puskas Award 2011, which will be selected by user of FIFA.com and francefootball.fr.

Lionel Messi enters the nomination thanks to his goal against Arsenal in the Champions League last season, as well as Wayne Rooney’s goal against Manchester City last season.

Dejan Stankovic’s goal against Schalke, and Giovani Dos Santos’ goal which brought Mexico to win the Gold Cup also nominated for best goal.

Five other goals belongs to Heather O’Reilly who scored in the Women’s World Cup, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, while plaing for AC Milan against Lecce, Julio Gomez for Mexico U-17, Benjamin De Ceulaer’s league goal against Bruges in Belgium, and a defender in the Argentinian league, Lisandro Lopez.
