Rennes Catches Lyon, Lille Held – Ligue 1
Lyon 1-2 Rennes
Rennes managed to come from behind to host Lyon to rise to fourth position of the France Ligue 1 by shifting their opponents.
Ederson deflects the shot by Kim Kallstrom when the defense of Rennes failed to clear the ball perfectly in a corner kick situation in the 36th minute, but three minutes later, Rennes replied through Jonathan Pitroipa who won in the struggle for the ball with Bakary Kone before beating Hugo Lloris.
Rennes had played better in the second half and Jires Ekoko gave victory after receiving an assists by Yann M’Vila who stole the ball from Kallstrom in the eight minute of the second half.
Lyon failed to create enough chances to equalize, while heroism Lloris could break chances made by Youssouf Hadji and Pitroipa.
Toulouse 0 – 0 Lille
France Ligue 1 defending champions Lille could be behind by eight points from league leaders Paris St Germain after failing to win against Toulouse.
Moussa Sow got the best opportunity for Lille, but his penalty kick was blocked by goalkeeper Ali Ahamada.
The entry of Eden Hazard to replace Joe Cole in the 65th minute gave hope to Lille fans, but still failed to give his team the goal.
