Inconsistent appearance is one reason why Liverpool is still difficult to penetrate to the big four.

This is expressed by Lucas Leiva seeing his team’s performance so far. According to the Brazilian midfielder, if they want to be able to compete for the title, Liverpool should maintain the level of performance like they showed against Chelsea at the weekend.

“If we could play like we did against Chelsea, then we will be in a better position,” said Lucas, according to Sky Sports.

In the match against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, Liverpool could steal a 2-1 victory.

“We had to get three points here because we lost a lot of points at home. Now we must find the right way when playing at home, we must improve our record here and if we can do that, our position will definitely be better,” Lucas continued.

He also provided input to Kenny Dalglish to play attacking football in the current Liverpool squad.

“But most importantly we must find a balance and the right time to do it. If we can do that, we will have a good season,” he explained.
