Liverpool Monitoring Two South American Players
Liverpool reportedly have set up a fund of 14 million pounds to bring in young River Plate star, Lucas Ocampos. But the Reds have to compete with Chelsea, who are also interested in the 17-year-old winger.
According to Sportsmail, Chelsea are interested in Ocampos because his style is similar to Real Madrid star, Cristiano Ronaldo. But Liverpool has many connections in South America, probably could get Ocampos.
River will try to defend their young star to get promotion to the Argentine First Division League again.
Besides Ocampos, Liverpool are also monitoring Chilean striker Eduardo Vargas. But again they have to compete with AC Milan and Arsenal. Agent of Vargas, Diego Cativa confirmed that there are offers from several major European clubs for his clients.
“We are negotiating with Liverpool, Inter Milan, AC Milan, Arsenal, and a few others,” said Cativa.
