Emiliano Viviano Leaving Inter in January?

Emiliano VivianoThe agent of Inter Milan goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano has admitted his client could leave the Serie A giants on loan in January as he looks to secure a place in Italy’s Euro 2012 squad.

The 26-year-old damaged knee ligaments in pre-season and is yet to feature for Claudio Ranieri’s men.

Despite a return to first-team action being imminent, the player is behind Inter’s first choice keeper Julio Cesar, and Claudio Vigorelli, Viviano’s representative, claims a move away from San Siro could be on the cards.

“We’ll meet with the Inter directors over the first few days of January to discuss a possible loan switch,” Vigrelli told TMW.

“He is almost ready to start playing again and he’d like the opportunity to win a place in the Italy squad for Euro 2012.”

The player’s agent then focused on possible destinations, ruling out Palermo in the process.

“I don’t think Palermo are an option as they already have two keepers. It’s useless to name clubs, even if I have to admit that he could end up in England,” he added.

Viviano has so far made six appearances for the Italian national side, making his debut in September 2010 in a 5-0 win over the Faroe Islands.
