Coach Andre Villas-Boas enters Roberto Soldado‘s name to the Chelsea shopping list, in January 2012.

According to the Mirror, Villas-Boas sent his scouts to Valencia since early December, to watch the appearance of Soldado several times. The result is that Soldado is declared eligible to be brought to Stamford Bridge.

Soldado, now aged 26 years old, had scored eight goals in the La Liga and five in the Champions League. Villas-Boas also have witnessed firsthand the ability of Soldado when Chelsea faced Valencia.
