Arsenal wants Schalke 04 sharp striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and reportedly had prepared £15 million to sign him this January, this was according to Caughtoffside.

Arsenal is searching for an attacking player looking to add to their front-line strength in the transfer market this winter. Marouane Chamakh and Gervinho have not provided the desired impact while veteran striker Thierry Henry was borrowed only for two months.

Huntelaar is showing brilliant performance with Schalke and had scored 26 goals in 26 German Bundesliga matches. In addition, the 28 year old striker was the top scorer of Euro 2012 qualifyers with 12 goals.
