Sam Ricketts returned to the pitch after a ten months long injury by scoring through hard shot to the corner of the Wolverhampton goalkeeper to bring the hosts ahead in the 22nd minute.

Captain Gary Cahill, who likely will play his last match for Bolton, failed to prevent his team to fall to the bottom of the standings, when Steven Fletcher headed in a Matt Jarvis free kick  in the fourth minute second half.

Bolton changed position with Blackburn, after Steve Kean’s team gave a surprise to the defending champions Manchester United, while Wolves are just two points above the relegation zone.
