Tottenham Hotspur Ready to Hand Ledley King a New Contract

Ledley King to extend Tottenham Hotspur contractTottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp has confirmed that he will hand a contract extension proposal for captain Ledley King.

The England international defender has only played in 11 games this season and previously Spurs gave King a requirement to play in at least 20 games to get a new contract.

However, Redknapp has dismissed the report and claimed the player who is now aged 31 years old is still an important part of White Hart Lane.

“I will never doubt to give him a new contract. Do not ever question it,” said Redknapp.

“He does not need to play in 20 games, Ledley will stay here.”

“If Ledley only played in ten games, our opportunity to get 30 points is very wide open. He is an important part of the club, I believe the chairman will make sure Ledley stays,” he concluded.
