According to Estadio Deportivo, Barcelona rejected the offer made by Real Betis to loan Cristian Tello.

Betis are looking for an extra attacker on the transfer market this winter in order to save themselves from the relegation zone. One of their target is Tello, product of the Barcelona academy who is aged 20 years old.

Tello, who returned to Barca after two seasons with Espanyol in 2010, performed brilliantly in the reserve team and is believed to be able to make his first team debut this season. Due to his great performance, Betis are interested in recruiting him but Pep Guardiola wants to keep him.

Guardiola sees that Tello could be an alternative for their front-line as Ibrahim Afellay and David Villa are hit with long injury.
