Xavi Named as Best playmaker for the fourth Consecutive Time
Xavi Hernandez was re-elected as the best playmaker of the International Federation of Football and History (IFFHS). This is the fourth time in succession Xavi has been named as the best playmaker.
The 31-year-old player surpass his two colleagues in Barcelona, Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta, who finished second and third. Meanwhile, Real Madrid player, Mesut Ozil, occupied the fourth position.
Xavi is the best from a total of 13 players from Europe and 3 Latin American players. The last position of the list was achieved by Javier Pastore who plays at Paris Saint-Germain.
Spain becomes the largest contributor with five players nominated. In addition to Xavi and Iniesta, there is also David Silva, Xabi Alonso and Cesc Fabregas.
