Tottenham Hotspur beat West Bromwich Albion at White Hart Lane with a score 1-0, Tuesday (3/1). Jermain Defoe is the hero for the team thanks to his goal.

WBA manager, Roy Hodgson, wasvery impressed with the Spurs’ performance. Hodgson says Spurs are a competitor to other big clubs in the Premier League title race this season.

“They (Spurs) are serious competitors. They have proved this,” said Hodgson. “They continue to put pressure on Manchester City and Manchester United to win their matches and keep his distance.”

Before Hodgson, many had praised the Spurs ‘ performance under coach Harry Redknapp, one of which is Man Utd manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
