Udinese had announced that they had signed French left-back Jean-Alain Fanchone with a free transfer.

The 23-year-old player had actually been training with Udinese after his previous club, Strasbourg, released him, and now he officially had joined Udinese.

Udinese signed Fanchone with contract duration of five years, which would make the French players stay at least until 2016.

Fanchine played more than 50 games for Strasbourg before joining Arles-Avignon on loan last season. There, he played 21 games.
