Good news comes for Tottenham Hotspur who is being hit by a storm of injuries in their defence. Michael Dawson had recovered from an Achilles injury he suffered.

Dawson previously had to rest for four months after suffering a serious problem on his Achilles in August.

But after undergoing a period of rest and rehabilitation, Dawson has now recovered and is ready to play.

“Glad to see Dawson returning to the team,” said manager Harry Redknapp. “He had previously been absent for quite a long time.”

“He’s been working hard to restore his physical condition and can not wait to play immediately,” he explained.

Besides Dawson, Aaron Lennon also showed positive signs of returning to play after recovering from a hamstring injury.
