Barcelona striker Lionel Messi, claims that he wants to play in his home country before he retires

“In Europe, I want to play with Barcelona. I want to stay here forever. The longer I’m here, the better because I am very comfortable and loved her,” said Messi.

“However, before I retire, I want to play in my home country. I’m pretty sure that I want to play in Argentina. It is a dream and I’ll try to make it happen,” he added.

Messi is 24 years old and is still under contract with Barcelona until 2016. He began his career at the junior level of Newell’s Old Boys (1995-2000). He then entered the Barcelona youth team and played in the senior team in 2004.

On Monday (09/01/2012), he was awarded the FIFA Ballon d’Or 2011. This is the second time he received the award since the title of World’s Best Player and the Ballon d’Or was united in 2010.
