Edinson Cavani became the hero to lead Napoli to the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia after beating Inter Milan 2-0 on Thursday.

“We have to always look forward to see a step forward and keep fighting, because we want to win something important,” Cavani said after the game.

The Uruguayan striker broke the deadlock from a penalty kick, just days after his penalty kick was blocked by Siena goalkeeper.

“What happened has passed. The most important thing is to win and we won it, so we’re happy,” he said, quoted by Italian Football.

Napoli is expected to easily go into the finals, because their next opponent is Siena who silenced Chievo in the last four.

“We always try to prepare the best and leave our souls in the field. We will continue to be like this and try to evolve every day.”
