Real Zaragoza

The Portugal international cost Atletico €5 million last week, and though he joined the club together with €40m signing Radamel Falcao, he will not be given a single chance to prove his worth at the Vicente Calderon.

The 24-year-old will be presented by Zaragoza on Tuesday afternoon, becoming the club’s ninth signing of the transfer window.

Micael, who has three international caps to his name, joined Porto from CD Nacional in January of 2010 but failed to impose himself at the Estadio do Dragao during his stay.

Although they just signed Arda Turan, Atletico still wants to add depth to their squad with the presence of Diego. The Brazilian 26-year-old player had been allowed to leave Wolfsburg by Felix Magath after a series of disciplinary problems.

Wolfsburg themselves had said that they would only release Diego at the right price.

Atletico Madrid

Turan, a 24-year-old Turkey international, has agreed a four-year contract with Atletico and will cost an initial €12 million rising to €13 million, according to a statement on the Galatasaray website.

A statement on the Atletico website confirmed: ”Atletico Madrid and Galatasaray have closed an agreement for the transfer of playmaker Arda Turan.

”Arda Turan will undergo his medical on Friday morning and will be presented on Tuesday, August 16 as a new Atletico Madrid player.”

Manchester City

City have spent a reported club record fee of €40 million on the Argentine international, which will include add-ons based on his performances.

Aguero will wear the number 16 shirt at Eastlands and is expected to be a part of Roberto Mancini’s squad that will play in the Dublin Super Cup tournament at the weekend.

The striker has signed a contract which will see him remain at Eastlands until 2016, and he will earn in the region of  €205,000 a week, making him one of the highest earners at City.

The 23-year-old flew into Manchester on Wednesday to discuss the terms of his deal and underwent a medical before he signed autographs for City fans outside the stadium.

The fee paid for Aguero passes the €42.5m paid for Robinho in 2008, as Roberto Mancini’s side look to make their mark in the Champions League as well as challenging for the Premier League title this season.

Aguero, nicknamed ‘Kun’, has already stated about his delight about joining City on his official Twitter account.

“I’m already a City player. Happy to be in this club and this city,” he said.

Atletico Madrid

Marca claims the 22-year-old Brazilian forward’s right knee buckled during training on Wednesday night.

The player was taken to the Fremap clinic where he underwent a scan to determine the extent of the injury, and the results showed Costa ruptured his cruciate ligament in his right knee.

He will likely miss between six and seven months of the campaign as surgery is required on the injury.

Atletico will be in Europa League action later on Thursday night when they take on Stromsgodset in the third qualifying round.

“We will probably meet with Aguero’s agents in the middle of next week,” Marotta said. “He is a great player – young but already with a lot of experience. It is our objective to sign him – we really like the player.”

Marotta had earlier admitted that Aguero, who has just been named in Argentina’s final 23-man squad for the Copa America, would be a perfect acquisition for the side, along with Villarreal striker Giuseppe Rossi: “Both are talented and capable of making the difference,” he said. “They both match up with the profile of the kind of player we are looking for.”

The latest development suggests urgency on the part of Aguero’s suitors and follows in the footsteps of a statement issued by Atleti’s sporting director Jose Luis Caminero, who instructed the player’s agent to resolve his future in the coming two weeks in order to prevent a summer of uncertainty and turmoil for the club.

Atletico, meanwhile, are reportedly looking to Rossi to replace Aguero should the Argentine depart this summer.

Enrique Cerezo

“Every year there are always rumors about Kun Aguero,” said Cerezo.

“I always say Aguero can play at the club he wants, but I’m not sure he’s willing to wear a Real Madrid shirt,” he continued.

Florentino Perez, president of Real Madrid, said Los Blancos could get Aguero this summer. Cerezo was not too upset with Perez.

According to him, Aguero is under contract until 2014, and Atletico Madrid is only willing to negotiate with the club that offers a bid of €45 million – his release clause.

“What I know so far is that there is no bid for Aguero. I’m sure the rumors will evaporate, and Aguero is still with us,” said Cerezo.

Answering a question about Diego Forlan, Cerezo said: “I asked him to stay, and I’m sure he respects his contract, and no one said Forlan wants to go.”

Atletico Madrid

De Gea is very widely rumored to be a target for Manchester United coach Sir Alex Ferguson to replace the position of Red Devils goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar, who will retire the end of the season.

Lately there has been rumors that De Gea’s move to Old Trafford has been agreed by Manchester United and Atletico. The two clubs reportedly will announce it at the end of this season.

But De Gea immediately denied this. The 20-year-old admits that he still has not decided his future and probably will stay at Atletico. De Gea and Atletico will discuss his future at the end of the season.

“I have not signed anything. I am happy here and have a contract until 2013, so now my main target is to get the team to Europe and when the league is finished we will see. Until the end of the season, nothing will be decided,” said De Gea. (AP)
