“I have found an agreement with Juventus. All that is missing now is for the two clubs to agree terms,” the highly rated attacker said, according to Sky Sport Italia.

Juventus have been linked with a move for the 25-year-old Krasic for a number of weeks now, but the Turin-based outfit have so far failed to reach an agreement with CSKA Moscow. Juve are reportedly reluctant to offer more than €15 million for Krasic, while the Russian side are holding out for €18m.

After agreeing personal terms, Krasic will be hopeful that the two sides reach an agreement in the coming days too in order to complete the deal.

Earlier reports had suggested Juve were on the verge of turning their attention to Hamburg winger Eljero Elia, but these reports seem unlikely following Krasic’s comments. Additionally, the Bundesliga side denied earlier today that La Vecchia Signora have made an official offer for Elia.

Guus Hiddink is reported to be the man pointed to take Ferrara’s place if Juve don’t get the win in Naples.  Other reports suggest that Dino Zoff is also a leading candidate for the spot.

Napoli won’t be an easy opponent for Juventus as they were already beatened at home in the Serie A match this season. The game will be a direct elimination last 16, which that a loss will be an elimination.  Tough one for Ferrara..

Serie A Football News – Atalanta welcomed a Juventus side in need of a  victory to avenge last week’s home defeat to Napoli, which has left them seven points below table leaders Inter.

The first chance came in the 11th minute, when Felipe Melo spotted Mauro Camoranesi’s run and the winger unleashed a shot that was turned around the post by goalkeeper Andrea Consigli.

The home side responded four minutes later as Jaime Valdes played a long ball to Simone Tiribocchi, who found himself alone in front of Gianluigi Buffon but fired it just wide of the post.

In the 25th minute, there was another chance for Atalanta, as Tiberio Guarente played a long ball to Fabio Ceravolo, and Fabio Grosso tried to intercept the pass but mishit it, forcing Buffon to come off his line and clear the ball away.

Three minutes after that, the visitors had the ball in the net through David Trezeguet, who headed in a cross from Jose Caceres, but it was ruled out for offside.

Atalanta captain Cristiano Doni came close just after the half hour mark with a nice volley on a cross by Valdes which he sent just wide of the post.

Just when the Nerazzurri were enjoying their best spell, Juve opened the score. In the 35th minute, Grosso sent in a perfect cross after good work on the right wing, and Camoranesi beat Consigli with a nice header.

Incredibly, the Italian international struck again just two minutes later, as he fired a precise shot from the edge of the penalty which found its way into the net to make it 0-2.

Juve continued to play with confidence after that, although Atalanta had one last chance just before the break, as Guarente’s volley on a cross by Valdes forced a great save from Buffon.

During the break no changes were made by either coach.

Five minutes in, Atalanta re-opened the match with a goal by Valdes, who coolly beat Buffon after receiving a splendid pass from Guarente inside the area to make it 1-2.

In the 53rd minute, Juve thought they had their third goal, but Felipe Melo was judged to be offside when he beat Consigli after a free kick by Diego. The same thing happened a minute later, when it was Christian Poulsen who was ruled to be offside when he headed the ball past the Atalanta goalkeeper.

Despite these setbacks, the Bianconeri did not let up and in the 55th minute they did get their third goal, as Melo’s shot from distance proved too much to handle for Consigli, who saw the ball fly into the top corner of his net.

After a frantic first ten minutes of the second half, the match slowed down a bit and there were no more chances for a while. In the 69th minute, Atalanta had a chance as Doni played it into the area for Valdes, whose shot toward the far post went just wide.

Two minutes later, the home side scored their second goal of the evening to bring back some suspense. Valdes played it on the left to Tiribocchi, who played a first-time pass to Ceravolo, who went past Grosso and beat Buffon with a precise shot.

Juve nevertheless continued to control the match after that, and sealed the three points with a fourth goal in the 85th minute. Once again Camoranesi was involved as he made a run on the right and played in a cross that was controlled by Diego, who beat Consigli with a nice touch off his left foot.

A minute later, they even scored a fifth goal, as Trezeguet was found by Giorgio Chiellini and beat Consigli after making a nice turn. It was his 167th goal for Juve, allowing him to equal Omar Sivori’s record.

The referee decided the end the match after the 90 minutes, ignoring stoppage time. The Bianconeri were then able to celebrate a crucial and convincing 5-2 victory that will put some pressure on Inter ahead of their match against Roma tomorrow evening.
